summer dresses

This is my little sweetie, eating cheerios in her pretty sundress. I am so in love with this little girl. Of course I always am, but some days I feel it more than others. She gives little hugs and kisses and giggles and everything a tiny little girl with should do. I am thankful that she feels the comfort and security to love life and explore and grow. I am so blessed to hold her every day.

This month, (month 8), has been a great change of pace. Naps are longer and more consistent! She sleeps well at night and takes two 1-2 hour naps a day. This is amazing because until now her naps have been about 20-30 minutes about 3 times a day!

Elf hair

Bathtime isone of Salem's favorite things. I love to play with her hair and watch her entertain herself with the water. She also loves to drink water and she will find a way to get her mouth onto any water source available- the faucet, sippy cups, mom and dad's cups, water bottles, and straws.....and it's extra special when it is icy cold.

Standing Up

So, now Salem is able to pull herself up completely by herself. She accomplished this at about 8 months, 2 weeks. She hasn't yet figured out how to get down gracefully. Actually, she can't get down at all so she just holds on until she gets too tired and falls or someone comes to her rescue. In this picture, she is looking outside at the dogs- her usual morning routine.

This is the new color of Salem's room. It used to be a pistachio green, which sounds pretty, but it was a little pukey. This is much more soothing. I especially love that it was a mistint from Ace, so a nice price. I haven't totally finished it yet, so this is just a glimpse.

organic carrots

I made Salem some organic carrots today. I boiled them and blended them up in my baby food processor. She loves them! This is good because I can find organic carrots almost any grocery store. It is harder to find other organic veggies all the time. Her little intestines are learning how to digest vegetables, so poor little thing has to strain pretty hard to get out her poops that are now colorful and pungent.

salem in the sun

We are so excited to be able to wear short sleeves! Salem has never in her whole life been able to enjoy sunshine on her skin until now. She sat outside and watched me work in the yard happily watching the trees and birds and especially the dogs.
